What do you want students to take away from your courses?
In all my courses I use a “contingency” approach. I want students to be able to identify what factors influence decisions, and how they affect them.
Why did you start teaching?
I enjoy learning. In my courses I share what I have learned and learn from the class.

What qualities make someone particularly successful in the area in which you teach?
A willingness to accept challenges, enabled by being a good listener and lifelong learner.
What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in the profession face today?
Managers must move from an outdated “profit maximization” model of running organizations to a more sustainable “triple bottom line” model of people, profit, and planet.
What is the one book you think everyone should read?
For managers, I recommend “The Effective Executive” by Peter Drucker.
