Technology Services

Information Technology at William Paterson University strives to provide state-of-the-art technology solutions that meet the needs of our university community, and we are committed to providing the best user support possible.

User Services consists of the Help Desk, Field Services, Enterprise Desktop Support, and Technology Consultants. In coordination, they triage technology-related requests, resolve technical problems, develop technology infrastructure, and more.

Library Services

The David and Lorraine Cheng Library is the academic knowledge center of William Paterson University and is proud to offer online students access to a vast collection of multimedia resources, citations and databases, research materials, and more.

Whether or not you are an experienced researcher, we will work with you to guide you through our resources, information retrieval strategies, and information management techniques. Our goal is to help you become a confident and skilled user of information resources and services. Call 973-720-2663 or fill out a Schedule Research Help form for assistance.

For more specialized reference items, we participate in an Interlibrary Loan program and in the VALE Reciprocal Borrowing program. For reference help, you can email or live chat with a librarian. Financial Aid

Your education is a major investment. That’s why the Office of Financial Aid at William Paterson University aims to provide you with the necessary information to locate and secure available funding for your education.

We’re happy to assist in answering questions about establishing aid eligibility, applying for aid, loans and grants, financial aid counseling, and more. When you fill out your FAFSA, be sure to use the William Paterson Federal School Code: 002625.

You should monitor WPConnect to view your financial aid package as well as any follow-up items required. Also, view your William Paterson University email account, since this is a secure link and the only way many administrative departments communicate with students.

Military Students & Veterans

The Office of Veteran and Military Affairs proudly welcomes veterans and military students. We recognize the dedication and sacrifices you have made serving our country.

Our office provides support to veterans, active-duty service members, and military families by administering services that assist with the transition from military service member to college student. Our goal is to be responsive to your multifaceted concerns and assist in achieving your educational goals.

Student Enrollment Services

Student Enrollment Services (SES) is a trusted source of information with a goal to assist the University’s growing diverse and talented community. It also offers consultation for students and families seeking help in managing the cost of attending William Paterson University. While SES serves as the first administrative resource, they partner with the Offices of Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Registrar on complex issues to provide solutions using a thorough, studied approach. Their consult/referral methodology is well-developed and facilitates timely guidance from an expert panel of advisors and serves as the initial conduit with respect to the following services: Financial Aid/Scholarships; Financial Literacy; Billing/Payment; Records/select registration services.

Counseling, Health and Wellness Center

You can conveniently schedule appointments via your Student Health Portal on WPConnect or by calling 973-720-2360.

  • We are a primary health and psychological counseling service that provides clinical, educational and outreach services to enrolled students who live or have a temporary residence in NJ. Out of state residents can contact us for a consultation and referral to local service providers.
  • The CHWC is committed to the health and safety of all members of our campus community. We are currently delivering health, counseling and outreach services via telehealth and in person visits while implementing the latest guidelines for COVID-19 prevention and response issued by the CDC and NJ Department of Health.
  • We are staffed by licensed health providers including nurse practitioners, a consulting physician, mental health counselors, psychologists, clinical social workers, a health educator and administrative support staff.
  • Patient information and records are maintained via an electronic medical records system that is fully HIPAA compliant for security and privacy.

The Mission of the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) is to assist students with documented disabilities by providing reasonable accommodations and services that ensures equal access to all programs, activities, and related benefits of the University’s educational and professional programs.
