  • What do you want students to take away from your courses?

    At the completion of the course, students will have knowledge and skills to:

    1. Compare and contrast physiologic changes.
    2. Analyze the relationship between normal physiologic and pathological phenomena caused due to altered states.
    3. Describe the development of physiology, parthenogenesis, and clinical manifestations of commonly occurring health states.
    4. Analyze physiologic responses to illness and treatment modalities.
    5. Analyze data with respect to diagnosing clinical problems.

  • Why did you start teaching?

    I have been teaching for over 25 years. The reason I teach is to impact the minds of young learners and create a scholarship of inquiry for critical thinking and clinical reasoning.

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in the area in which you teach?

    The most important qualities required for success are time management, timely submission of required course work, and presence in the virtual classroom.

  • What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in the profession face today?

    Everyone is multitasking yet desiring to continue with their graduate degree within the space of the available time. Online learning makes this happen and students save on travel time yet receive quality education that is monitored through online learning quality control team.

  • What is the one book you think everyone should read?

    “College in Prison” by Daniel Karpowitz.

  • Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students may not know about you.

    I work as a Nurse Practitioner in the emergency room of a large academic center. The class that I teach will bring real cases that are encountered in practical setting. I will be able to connect the text with practical solutions and outcome measures in areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
