  • Use information on a learner’s strengths, interests, and needs gathered through research-based methods to design lessons that are appropriate to the learner’s different cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Establish high expectations for learners and demonstrate the ability to modify instruction and implement assistive tools and technology to address the specific learning differences and needs of all learners according to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards
  • Analyze, reflect upon, and facilitate with supporting research a healthy, safe, organized, and productive learning environment that communicates and promotes respect for each learner ; reinforces classroom and school expectation, including HIB policies; is responsive and inclusive of diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives; teaches learners how to use technology in appropriate, safe, and effective ways; and provides opportunities for self-directed learning
